Bio: Casey grew up in Northern Virginia, and completed her undergraduate studies at George Mason. She has her Bachelor of Science in Biology, and concentrated on Marine and Freshwater Biology with a minor in Environmental Policy. She began volunteering in the Fish Ecology lab in 2013 after taking a course of Dr. de Mutsert’s. Realizing her passion for aquatic and fish ecology, she completed two independent studies in the lab and became a research assistant throughout the rest of her undergraduate career.

Research: Casey is began her Master of Science in Environmental Science in Fall 2015. She is interested in spatio-temporal ecosystem modeling to explore the dynamic impacts of pollution for freshwater ecosystems with urbanized watersheds.
