Peter is a doctoral student and Presidential Scholar at George Mason University. He has a Masters of Science in Environmental Science and Policy, with a concentration in Earth Surface Processes and Environmental Geochemistry. Peter’s research largely focuses on how climate change in the past, present, and future may impact marine ecosystems, and how past changes in those ecosystems can inform our understanding of past climatic changes. He is also interested in the communication of science, working with the GMU Center for Climate Change Communication and Skeptical Science to understand and improve public understanding of climate science.In addition to his academic work at GMU, Peter also works with the National Park Service on sea level rise adaptation and NASA’s DEVELOP program on forecasting changes in invasive species extent.
